Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF for short) in collaboration with Greycells organizes Banking Chanakya Quiz, a unique quizzing platform which caters exclusively to Bankers.
The best quiz masters in India from Greycells has been presenting this Corporate quiz since its inception in 2017.
The 2024 edition of Chanakya Quiz was a roaring success. The most ambitious and successful edition yet in its scope and scale the quiz contest witnessed its largest participation yet.
Teams Greycells customized an online quiz platform for the pan-India preliminary rounds. This was followed by the physically hosted Zonal rounds at four locations, culminating in the National finals at Mumbai.
The stage was set at IIBF, head office in Mumbai on 18th January to welcome the top four qualifying teams at the National final.
It was destined to be clash of the best minds from the industry. The line-up included the defending champions, a previous national champion, a national finalist and a veteran quiz team.
In line with the occasion the challenge was upped couple of notches by Quizmaster Gautam Bose with newer rounds and concepts which necessitated the teams to bring out their ace game.
The SBI duo (the defending champions) had a slow start but quickly caught up with the RBI team – who are Quiz veterans having tasted the pinnacle of success in previous editions.
Central Bank of India also had a sluggish first half but recovered well in the fag end. However, the team from Canara Bank was not in their usual elements and faced one calamity after another.
The contest went right down to the wire with the last question deciding the podium finish.
The defending champions were able to defend their turf in a tight finish and lift the trophy for the second time consecutively leaving the RBI team with a worthy runner-up spot.
The winning team added 1 Lakh Rs to their kitty along with a shimmering trophy.
Second placed team won 75,000 Rs while the 3rd and 4th placed teams won 25,000 Rs.
The final standings:
National Champions- Mukesh Sharma and Himansh Katoch from State Bank of India
National Runner-up – Ramees Saleem, FRM and Amit Vishwakarma from Reserve Bank of India
Third: Prashant Prasoon and Abhijit Sinha from Central Bank of India
Fourth: Riyas Rehman and MAHESH M G from Canara Bank
